Campbell Hall -

Bruns started teaching at Campbell Hall in the Fall of 2005 shortly after finishing a Master's degree in music from the University of Southern California.

Since his arrival to the team Bruns founded the World Music Program, the Recording Arts & Production program, brought groups to perform off-campus at notable jazz venues in Southern California, and helped procure a complete collection of world music instruments from South & North Brazil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, and West Africa

Bruns currently teaches the following courses:

-Recording Arts & Production I, II, & III  (with AVID ProTools Certification)
-Steel Drum Orchestras (8th Grade and High School)
-World Drumming Ensembles (Cuban, Brazilian, and West African styles)

L.A.'s Best -

Jason held and artist residency for the City of Los Angeles where he ran 10-week drumming programs to underserved children in Southern California. In this program students made their own drums out of recycled coffee cans and sheep skin heads.

USC Jazz Reach -

While earning his masters degree at the University of Southern California Bruns participated in this program where he worked with aspiring musicians from schools in the surrounding campus' neighborhood.
